Two new tracks went live in the M.U.S.I.C. Academy in the last week, and they could not be more different. Suno Studio 2.0 is where you build a song. Soundful is where you score one. Knowing which job you are doing is half the decision — so here is what just landed, and how to choose.

What Went Live

Each tool now has the full MWHQ build: a user guide in the Store and a three-level Academy ladder — Foundations, Creative Control & Workflow, and Professional AI Music Production — with 12 sessions per level.

Suno Studio 2.0: The Browser DAW With Generation Built In

Studio 2.0 is not a prompt box with a timeline stapled on. Generation lives inside the surface — MIDI and a piano roll, a full wavetable synth, insert effects, automation curves, and a chat bar that can build you a working plugin on request.

The guide goes deep on the moves that make generated parts sound played: musical typing, velocity-to-cutoff routing on the synth, and treating automation as composition rather than cleanup.

It also tells you what Studio will not do — no VST or Audio Units, no DAW sync, timing behaviour Suno itself acknowledges, and sessions that live on Suno’s servers tied to your subscription. You should know that on page four, not on day nine.

Soundful: A Scoring Tool, Not a Songwriting Tool

Soundful produces no vocals on any tier, by design. We did not bury that — we built the whole guide around it. Soundful is a template-driven engine for beds, cues and instrumentals, and once you treat it that way, the limitation becomes a clean separation of jobs instead of a gap.

The guide covers key and tempo discipline, re-voicing through MIDI, hybrid template builds, the STEM workflow, and the licence matrix — which is where the real commercial risk lives for anyone scoring content they intend to monetise.

One house rule we applied here: Soundful restructured its plans recently (Free, Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise at the time of writing), so the guide teaches the shape of the pricing, not dollar figures that will date. Always check the live pricing page before you commit.
